The QD102 in Classic Red Slate |
Watch the fitness fanatics arriving at a gym. Virtually all of them will have one thing in common: they’ll arrive carrying a bag. The same goes for footballers about to tackle a midweek five-a-side session or swimmers diving through the turnstiles at the local pool.
Everyone that participates in sport requires a functional bag to carry kit, footwear, drinks, equipment and valuables to and from their sporting activity. The same bag provides a perfect medium for highly visible branding and promotional messages. That’s why a suitable sports bag is an essential pick for every sportsrelated promotion or merchandise range, says Quadra, which is targeting this demand with its new Stadia collection.
Described as “the new pace setter in sports bag design”, the collection includes five retailinspired products: two general sports bags, (the QD100 Stadia Backpack and QD101 Stadia Holdall); one that’s specifically intended for racquet sports, (the QD102 Stadia Racquet Holdall); and two styled especially for women, (the QD103 Stadia Ladies Monostrap and QD104 Stadia Ladies Holdall, both of which are available in feminine colourways for maximum appeal amongst female customers. The bags offer 18L, 44L, 67L, 10L, and 33L capacities, respectively.
Each is designed using modern styling and inspirational colours, and by making the products robust enough to deliver years of service, (so the branding will be seen frequently over an extended period of time).
The Stadia bags use 600D micro ripstop polyester fabric, which is smart, durable, and readily accepts both embroidery and print. All can be embroidered in key embellishment areas using an18 tubular hoop. This is a productivity booster, says Quadra, as mixed orders can be produced without having to break down and set up the machine for the different styles. There is also the option of embroidering the zipped side pockets on the QD101 and QD104 holdalls using a 15 tubular hoop. Throughout the range, zips and contrast colour panelling are positioned to provide the maximum area for printing – up to 720cm2 of uninterrupted space on the top flap of the QD102.
Common design features across the Stadia collection include: safety-oriented hi-viz accents; heavy rubberised zip pullers; adjustable shoulder straps; and padded bases, and protective base feet on the holdalls.
Features that are specific to particular bags include the breathable padded mesh back panel, and the CD/MP3 player-compatible pockets/headphone ports on the Stadia Backpack and Ladies Monostrap, (so the wearer can listen to music while wearing the bags). The QD100 also boasts an internal organiser section and concealed zip pocket in the shoulder strap.
The three holdalls incorporate an end pocket containing internal toiletry pockets and a side zippered pocket. In addition, the Stadia Racquet Holdall and Stadia Ladies Holdall incorporate a padded cooler pocket to keep refreshments chilled. As its name suggests, the Stadia Racquet Holdall is specifically designed to accommodate racquets of all popular sizes.
“Sports clubs, health clubs, corporate gyms, leisure centres, sports events and tournaments, team merchandise, promotional giveaways… the applications for the Stadia bags are endless. If you’re serious about the sports market, add the Stadia collection to your sales presentations and ‘carry it off in 2007’,” advises Quadra.
