Soft Shell fabrics are at the cutting edge of jacket technology, says Result, delivering excellent breathability properties combined with water resistance and total wind protection.

Soft Shell is a lightweight fabric that stretches to further enhance performance and comfort levels, required for today’s ever demanding outdoor lifestyle. It also offers high levels of warmth and is ideal as an outer layer in dry and cold conditions or a mid layer when worn with a waterproof outer garment, says Result.

New Soft Shell ranges for 2007, include the R120, the ultimate Soft Shell Activity Jacket. The R120 is manufactured from a soft, high stretch 345g/m2 Soft Shell three-layer bonded fabric with a TPU breathable waterproof membrane mid layer and a micro fleece inner layer for extra warmth. It also offers maximum wind protection, and is warm yet breathable. Other features include a shaped, long back panel, zip opening underarm vents with mesh backing and internal stretch cuff mittens with thumb loop.

The R120 is available in three team colours and is suitable for embroidery and print. While the R56 Ripstop Team Jacket is a highly versatile, easy-to-wear jacket that boasts one of the largest team colour ranges in the industry, says Result. The R56 is windproof and water resistant and manufactured from tough 210T Ripstop Nylon with a single jersey body lining. It also features a fold away hood and can be easily folded down to fit within a kit bag. The R56 also features an opening inner hem for screen printing and embroidery.

Then there is the R86 Tech3™ Sport Fleece, which is constructed using Tech3™, the latest development in fleece. This technically advanced fabric is a high density filament yarn that traps body heat while allowing the body to breathe and perspiration to rapidly wick out. Standard fleece is knitted to a 72 filament yarn, micro-fibre is 96 and Tech3™ is 140. This high-tech easywear athletic cut garment has a good corporate colour range and fresh, young styling. The R86 is suitable for embroidery and print.

To complement the already highly popular R69M Extreme Weather Jacket Result has released the new R69F Kelvin™ Extreme Weather Jacket for women who demand the highest possible performance from their clothing.

Whilst incorporating Result’s Elite™ Breathable Weatherproof Technology, the R69 is manufactured from microfibre with GUY-TEX two-layer lamination and Dupont® Teflon® PU coating. The inner has 3M Thinsulate insulation to the body and sleeves, and Result’s own Polartherm™ Techmesh lining, which boasts excellent air permeability, perfect moisture management and body heat retention.

Another addition to the Result breathable weatherproof technology range is the new R96 Max Performance Trekking/Training Top. This is 10,000mm waterproof and 6,000mm breathable making it one of the top performing products Result offers. The outer is manufactured from high density Ripstop with PU coating. It also features a detachable, fully adjustable foldaway hood with a tear release closing chin guard and a fashionable shaped longer back panel.

To partner the R96 are the New R97 Max Performance Trekking/Training Trousers, featuring all the same specifications but with the added feature of safety tape to lower legs incorporating 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective materials.

And for extreme clothing you can rely on, says Result, there is the new R106 M&F Ski and Cold Protect Trousers. The trousers also feature Result Breathable Weatherproof Technology, being fully waterproof, windproof and breathable. Features include zip opening snow gaiters to lower leg, detachable/adjustable quick release braces and reinforced stitching on all stress points.
