The BG225

A fashionable bag is the ideal indispensable women’s fashion accessory that will boost sales to womenswear customers, says Bagbase. Whether it is for a trip to the beach, an afternoon of retail therapy, a social event after work, or a night out on the tiles, a stylish shoulder bag is de rigueur.

In light of the growing demand for fashionforward bag styles, the brand has added three new styles to its ladies fashion range. The BG662 Canvas Shoulder Bag, BG663 Canvas Beach Bag and BG225 Pacific Tote Shopper join the BG17 Fashion Tote to offer a compelling shoulder bag solution to any requirement, says Bagbase.

The Ladies Fashion bags appeal to current consumer tastes; are highly functional; offer the maximum ease and scope for decoration; and represent a profitable add-on sales opportunity for BagBase customers. The new BG662 Canvas Shoulder Bag with six-litre capacity, and its sister product, the BG663 Canvas Beach Bag (16-litre capacity) are both straight out of retail, with particular attention paid to the size and finish of the shoulder straps. They come in several colourways: aqua/French navy; caramel/French navy; French navy/pink; and pink/caramel.

“Promotional bag buyers are demanding contemporary colour choices that closely reflect trends on the high street,” Catherine Hardy, of BagBase, reports. “We wouldn’t have dreamt of using these colour combinations in the past, but the women’s promotional bags market has moved on and the younger, fresher colourways now have the widest appeal, for women of all ages.”

The BG225 Pacific Tote Shopper, in 600D polyester, is one of three new Pacific styles, (along with the BG226 Pacific Holdall and BG227 Pacific Sea Bag). Bold contrast colour stripe accents and the scalloped top opening are the distinguishing features of this large capacity (16-litre) bag. The classic red/sand and French navy/pistachio colourways are carried through to the other styles in the range.

“As the name suggests, the Pacific Tote Shopper is intended to conjure up a maritime feel, making it the ideal summer and holiday bag. Its eyecatching retail looks combine with a large clear area for decoration to ensure that any promotional message or brand logo receives maximum exposure,” Hardy explains.

She adds: “A decorated T-shirt is an excellent promotional medium, but inevitably it will spend much of its time in the wash or the wardrobe, whereas a favourite shoulder bag is likely to become a constant companion.”
