Demand from women for clothing that is stylish and flattering has seen the number of garments in the womenswear sector increase dramatically in the last couple of years.
Although there is still a place for unisex garments, it has become far more common for brands to develop female equivalents in their range as well as key brands such as Skinni Fit, Hanes and Wombat continuing to develop dedicated womens styles.
Ralawise’s 2007 collection sees the biggest selection to date of fashionable womenswear from the industry’s leading brands.
Ralawise says the Skinni Fit brand remains a firm favourite with its customers and predicts the new styles for 2007 will prove popular. The SK200 vintage T is a classic relaxed-fit T, offering a casual look. Enzyme washed for softness and a vintage look, the T is available in four vintage colours of burgundy, denim, green and pink. The SK108 tube top is another new style. This longer length top has a double layer inner hidden-support and is made from 96% cotton and 4% elastane.
Wombat’s reputation as a provider of funky, surfer style clothing continues to grow.
Thre new lines have been Fairtrade certified, including the WB165 Airlie Top. This halter neck vest has contrast shoestring ties, contrast trim on faux wrap over front and over-locked hem. Available from small to large, the bright colours of Aqua and Custard make this a great summer top, says Ralawise.
Also ideal for summer is Jerzees Colours’ J104F sundress, it adds. The dress is made from 100% combed, ringspun cotton and is available in black, fuchsia and turquoise. Also new from the brand this year is the J109F cap sleeve rugby shirt. This casual rugby shirt is great for pairing with jeans and the vibrant colours of coral, fuchsia, kelly green, sunshine yellow and turquoise make this a really eye-catching garment in any colour.
Hanes combines elegance and casual style in all of its products says Ralawise, the H2810 wrapover T-shirt being an example of this. Made from 100% cotton the T-shirt is simple in its design but the sealed hem and slightly shaped fit give it a flattering look, making it a popular choice with Ralawise customers. There are also a number of women’s styles available as part of the brand’s 10/15 concept. This includes the H5400 Spicy-T v-neck, H5300 Spicy-T crew neck and H5330 Spicy T-shirt boat neck, long sleeve. And Pashimi offers a slightly alternative item to the womenswear market with its 100% viscose shawl. The shawl has a tassel design to each end and is available in a choice of eight colours.
