Trade Only show dates

Trade Only, the resource and service provider to the promotional products industry, will hold next year’s National Show on January 29 and 30.

The inaugural event, at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry in March attracted over 900 distributor visitors and more than 190 exhibitors.

“The Show was a great success, bringing together the leading players in the promotional product industry,” said Nigel Bailey, exhibitions manager for Trade Only.

Over 220 exhibitors are expected at the 2008 National Show, with 99 already confirmed.

FESPA 2007 sold out

This year’s FESPA exhibition, which takes place in Berlin between June 5 and 9, has sold out, with over 600 vendors exhibiting over 11 halls.

Pre-registered visitor numbers for the largest worldwide screen and digital printing exhibition show an increase of 25% compared to the figures for 2005.

New wave, new acquisition

Promotional and retailing company New Wave Group has bought upscale US golf and sportswear specialist Cutter & Buck for $156.5 million.

“The two companies’ brands are very complementary, allowing us to expand the distribution of the Cutter & Buck brands in Europe and the New Wave Group’s brands in the US,” said Göran Härstedt, the group’s deputy chief executive officer.

New clothes show for the workforce

A new dedicated workwear show for suppliers and buyers is being launched at the NEC in April 2008.

The Workwear and Corporate Clothes Show, organised by Ocean Events, will take place on April 2 and 3.

The corporate clothing, workwear and PPE (personal protection equipment) industry is worth aroung £430million, said Ocean Events.

Lorne Cheetham, md of Ocean Events said: “We hope to represent every spectrum of workwear [and] aim to be the definitive event for the industry.”
