FESPA set to be biggest yet
With just one month to go, Printwear & Promotion takes a look at what’s in store at the biggest worldwide screen and digital printing exhibition at Messe, Berlin
Published:  01 May, 2007

With over 600 exhibitors spread over 11 halls, FESPA will also be the platform for many new product and new technology launches covering all aspects of printing and digital imaging.

Besides the exhibitors there are a number of additional features this year, including educational seminars delivered by industry experts. These will include a digital debate, print buyer forum and a seminar on marketing skills for printers. There will also be a garment decoration programme running in the Screenprinting Showcase Theatre in Hall 1.1, covering topics such as special effects printing onto garments and computer-to-screen technology.

And, says exhibition director Frazer Chesterman, a new demonstrations folder, ‘Sensations’, showing the different effects which can be achieved using screen printing will be launched at the event.

“FESPA 2007 is this year’s number one destination for anyone planning to invest in screen or digital wide format printing equipment. The event will feature the world’s leading vendors, many of whom typically use FESPA exhibitions to showcase their full range of products and solutions, not to mention brand new products,” said Chesterman.

Some of the highlights of this year’s exhibition, says Chesterman, include: a brand new addition to the Rho family of flatbed inkjet printers from Durst; the introduction of the Jeti 2030 UV TRUE flatbed printer from Gandinnovations; and the new Speedy 500 flatbed laser system from Trotec.

New inks will also be introduced from the likes of both Marabu and Triangle Digital INX; while UK-based manufacturer of precision and extreme precision cutting equipment Keencut Ltd will feature its latest advanced cutting machines.

Exhibitors from the UK include: A Adkins & Sons Limited, which will be showcasing its range of heat transfer presses; environmentally friendly screen chemical manufacturer CPS (Chemical Products and Services), which will exhibit its innovative line of cleaning equipment, and label free emulsions; and Impression Technology Europe, which will exhibit its latest DTG direct to garment inkjet printers.

RSK Tech Ltd will launch its new T-shirt designer software aimed at adding value for garment decorators and Transwift from Reliant will demonstrate its TS range of continuous heat presses, as well as announcing the introduction of its new Diamante and Studding design creation service.
