The H166

Golfwear has long been a staple of the promotional/corporate apparel market, says Henbury, and is continually evolving and improving.

Henbury predicts that niche styles and bright colours are set to be at the forefront in the golfwear promotional and corporate market this year, as well as products that can offer a level of performance. It offers a wide range of clothing suitable for the golf course, starting with the new H170 Fior Collar Polo with plastic stiffeners sewn into the collar edge to prevent it curling after laundering and general wear.

Also suitable for the golfwear market are the new Munro Soft Shell Jacket (details in the Softshell feature) and the Kinross Jacket, a taped seamed waterproof, windproof jacket with a hidden hood. Both have been designed with the garment decorator’s needs in mind with easy access for embroidery and print.

The new Signature Range is also suitable for the golfwear market, identified with the Henbury Tartan swing tickets and back neck labels. The introductory Polo Shirt features the Henbury Tartan placket and the Ladies Sleeveless Polo, which Henbury says is ideal for summer golfing. The Tartan Placket Polo “embraces all that is prestigious and traditional in a golfing environment” it adds.

There is also the range of high quality Polo Shirts, including the classic 100% cotton Polo Shirt; the poly/cotton blend Polo Shirt H400 for men and H401 for ladies, with moisture-wicking and easycare qualities; and the Broad-Stripe Polo Shirt (H164) in 100% ring-spun cotton and at a generous 225gsm will set any outfit off to a tee.

And textured fabrics such as the classic Herringbone (H200), Waffle Knit Pique (H232), and Marl Polo with contrast jacquard collar (H260) are all winners in golf wear, says Henbury. All feature the unique Henbury Stand-Up Collar for increased shape retention and side vents for ease of movement.

Young, clean and modern styling was encouraged by Tiger Woods in the retail golf market, and is the inspiration behind Henbury’s vibrant red H163 Polo Shirt with contrast binding and quarter zip powder blue Polo (H162). The new crew neck t-shirt is also available in 10 contemporary colours offering an alternative to the classic Polo Shirt.

Other golfwear options from Henbury include its Knitwear range; the trouser collection for men and women, including chinos, cargo trousers and shorts; and its range of sweatshirts, which are ideal for embroidering. Wovens are also set to make golfwear dressier, predicts Henbury, which recommends its traditional oxford and the short- and long- sleeved stretch cotton poplin.

And for warmth it suggests the ladies’ and men’s Microfleece jacket, which can be zipped into its lightweight Shower Proof Jacket (H830/H831) for men and women.
