Sporting iD, the dedicated creator of iDentity heat transfers for licensed players’ sportswear, has secured a prestigious new contract.
The company, which makes name, number and badge transfers for professional team and replica sportswear, has been named the official supplier for the Premier League’s new name and number style, with effect this month.
“The process used for the PU transfers for names and numbers is Polystretch, although we are now describing it as iDentity, which is produced by Technographics,” explains a spokesman. “An alternative for professional players in the Premier League is Lextra®, which is produced by Chris Kay Limited in Ireland.”
Sporting iD believes an effective licensed player iDentity sets up strong royalty revenue streams for licensors, which will generate increased turnover for brands and retailers. The company manages the professional support to make this happen.
Its concept designers and typographers work with brand managers, apparel designers, colourists and textile performance engineers to achieve iDentity zones of real ownership, distinction, optimum performance and reliability.
The company is part of an umbrella group, ITW Graphics, of which Chris Kay Ltd is also a part.
