Target Transfers is delighted to announce that the pioneers of the heat press, Hotronix, have introduced a new look and technology for 2006. The newly designed Hotronix Sprint and Hotronix Sprint Mag give more options and advancements to the heat application market.

Target Transfers are the exclusive UK & Ireland Distributors for Hotronix, who have evolved the new Sprint Clam range in a manner advantageous to all who use a heat press. Whilst both new presses share many common features, the Sprint Mag press has a newly patented Magnetic Assist Lock Down feature that is less strenuous to the operator.

The Magnetic Lock Down feature encompasses Hotronix’s patented electro-magnetic technology that brings the platens together to secure pressure and closure, and automatically releases the pressure once application time has expired.

This Hotronix Sprint Mag press has an industry first, and a feature yet to be developed on a clam-style heat press – automation! The press has also been re-designed with an Auto Shock Opening Release. This new and innovative technology gives operators the freedom to walk away from the press while creating a garment. The clam-style press opens in a similar manner to a car bonnet, and removes heat from the application.

The Auto Shock Opening Release creates a more efficient printing business, allowing operators to multi-task while printing up to three garments per minute. The Sprint Mag will automatically open and rise from the garment once the application time has expired. It provides all the benefits of the air-assisted press without the need for an air compressor.

Unlike competitive models, the new Hotronix Sprint Clam’s floating upper platen becomes parallel to the lower platen before closing, benchmarking a new-patented technology within the industry.

The newly designed presses offer more technological advancements, complimented by a new, clean, and ‘edgy’ look. Each press maintains its integrity over other machines, including continual and even heat throughout the platen, measuring the temperature within the surface of the platen, instead of on the top.

A precise LED temperature read-out, reflecting actual platen surface temperature, is fitted. The ability to quickly and easily load the lower platen increases the efficiency and productivity with every application. The Teflon coated heater even prolongs the life of the machine, resulting in less warping of the heater, and evenly printing garments.

Hotronix presses have a lifetime heating element warranty, a five year warranty on framework, a two year warranty on the circuit board, and come with a one year warranty on parts and labour.

They have digital controls for temperature and time (in the case of the Sprint Mag, these are in conjunction with the Auto Release feature).
