Fruit of the Loom

Fruit of the Loom reports a growing trend towards promotions targeted at both children and adults/parents, which require matching garment styles and colours for all sizes.

The company's 2006 activewear is the ideal choice for supplying such orders, offering as it offers nine contemporary Junior styles, each with a matching design in adult sizes.

Brand Manager Alison Woodvine commented, ‘The targeting jointly of parents and children is a different way of looking at promotions and is growing in popularity. For example, a newspaper in Italy was recently planning to give away matching dads' and sons' T-shirts, linked to the World Cup Finals; the idea was for the dads and sons to wear the garments whilst watching the televised matches together.

‘We are also noticing children's T-shirts being used for on-pack promotions, with matching T-shirts also available for adult members of the family as part of the same promotion.’

The Fruit of the Loom Juniors range covers the majority of promotional wear requirements - from T-shirts to fleece outerwear. It comprises of the Toddler Valueweight T, Junior Valueweight T, Raglan and Set-In Sweats, Hooded and Zip through Hooded Sweats, Jog Pants, 65/35 Polo and Outdoor Fleece.

The garments are cut, sized and styled specifically for children, whilst perfectly complementing the relevant adult garments. For example, the Junior 65/35 Polo features a two-button placket, which is more appropriate than the adults' three-button placket in the smaller children's sizes. Otherwise, the adult and children's polos are identical - the same fabric, buttons, finishing details and so on.

Equally importantly, the adult and children's styles share many common colours - for example, the adult Valueweight T and Junior Valueweight T are both available in 21 colours, 20 of which they share in common. Similarly, the Lady-Fit Valueweight T, Junior Valueweight T and Toddler Valueweight T are now all available in Light Pink: this allows Fruit of the Loom customers to supply matching T-shirts for girls and women from age one year to adult size XXL.

Like all Fruit of the Loom products, the entire Juniors range carries Oeko-Tex Standard 100 approval - the international Human Ecology standard that guarantees textiles contain no harmful substances. In addition, every Toddler Valueweight T is inspected and individually metal detected to check for broken needles before it leaves the Fruit of the Loom factory, and each garment carries a fire warning on the neck label.
