The new solution uses Oyo's existing thermal print head technology - but instead of imaging a Thermal Film positive, the new system outputs a stencil directly on to a Screen - thereby removing the interim step of having to produce the film positive.

Managing Director Mark Evans said, ‘Direct to Screen is a Holy Grail for anyone involved in Screen Printing Prepress technology. Up to now the solutions that have made it to market have had limited success, either because they have fairly slow output speeds and are therefore unproductive, or they have image resolution limitations, or they are very expensive both in terms of capitalisation and running costs.’
