'Improving Performance In Our Schools' is the aptly titled new schoolwear brochure from Fruit of the Loom.
The 12-page, A4 brochure is packed with essential information on the company's 2006 product offering, including notable performance enhancements to the Junior Polo and Sweatshirt styles. As the centrepiece of a new nationwide promotional campaign in support of Fruit of the Loom schoolwear suppliers, the brochure will be sent to every school in the UK and Ireland, (more than 30,000 in total).
'The new, larger brochure has been completely redesigned to provide a stunning presentation of our schoolwear styles. The aim is to help our customers drive business by conveying to schools how Fruit of the Loom's commitment to excellence is “raising standards in schoolwear”,' comments Jane Goodman, Vice President of Marketing.
That commitment to excellence extends to the improved 65/35 Polo, which is now guaranteed to perform at a 60°C wash. The guarantee will appeal to parents, schools and schoolwear suppliers alike. Parents will appreciate how much easier it is to remove dirt and stains using a higher temperature wash; schools will value the benefits in terms of maintaining their smart image; and schoolwear suppliers will find it easier than ever to sell the advantages of Fruit of the Loom garments.
The 65/35 Polo is already the cornerstone of many modern school uniforms. Design features include the 1x1 rib flat knit collar and cuffs, two-button fused placket with self-coloured buttons (and sewn-in spare) taped neckline, and reinforced shoulder seams. Available in 11 popular school colours, the 65/35 Polo comes in sizes from 3 - 15 years, and there are matching polos in adult sizes for larger pupils.
Fruit of the Loom has also raised the standard of its schools sweats: the Set-In, Raglan, Hooded, Zip Through Hooded and Jog Pants (elasticated) now all feature a 100% ringspun combed cotton facing. The new fabric-construction delivers enhanced wash and wear performance, ensuring that the garments retain their smart good looks for longer, and an exceptional background for print and embroidery.
Also featured in the new brochure are the Outdoor Fleece (in six colours) and Valueweight T (in 21 colours), plus details of the new Valueweight Toddler T (for pre-school age pupils). Every garment (apart from the Jog Pants) is shown with an embroidered 'Fruit of the Loom school crest', to demonstrate how the products lend themselves to decoration.
Fruit of the Loom is emphasising that the 2006 Schools Promotion is intended to support its customers in selling more Fruit of the Loom branded products into the schoolwear market. The brochure directs schools to contact their usual schoolwear supplier to find out more about the Fruit of the Loom products, and any enquiries that Fruit of the Loom receives directly from schools will be forwarded to local suppliers.
