Still buzzing after being announced winners of the PROMOTA Clothing Supplier of the Year 2006 award a few days earlier, the BTC activewear team took to its stand with eager enthusiasm.
A giant helium filled football marked the whereabouts of BTC activewear’s topical ‘World Cup’ themed stand that was brimming with new brands. In fact, the show platformed the introduction of no less than eight incoming brands for 2006; AAA, Hanes, Rucanor, Stedman, Stormtech Outerwear, Ultimate Clothing Collection, Vandanel and Yoko International.
With range additions exhibited from Jerzees, Fruit of the Loom, Gildan, Regatta, Denny’s and Dickies, almost two hundred new lines were featured at the show.
The AAA brand provided an interesting introduction from US based Alstyle Apparel and Activewear with a selection of nine new T-shirt and sweatshirt lines, ‘The samples displayed were all very well received, this is a great new line of high quality garments and offers excellent value, we believe that the AAA brand with it’s tremendous music industry and retail sector heritage will prove to be very popular over the coming years’, commented BTC activewear Director Glenn Hyams at the close of the event.
Also newly introduced was the Ultimate Clothing Collection (UCC), a new workwear basics brand that lists two polo shirts featuring anti-roll collar and cuffs, two sweatshirts and two full zip polar fleeces. Remarking on the interest shown in the UCC brand, Glenn stated, ‘We anticipated that interest would be good as these garments offer exceptional value, however, the positive reaction to the UCC range has exceeded our expectation, it’s been great, a real show winner.’
Fashionable, technically advanced outerwear from Stormtech featured nineteen new garment lines ranging from fleece and storm jackets to an excellent Five-in-one parka. Glenn commented, ‘The inclusion of high-tech Stormtech garments is another exciting product avenue for us to develop with our customers, there has been a great deal of interest across all of the new lines.’
The introduction of twelve new high visibility safety garments from Yoko International formed the main emphasis of new workwear garments shown, these included a Hi-Vis T-shirt, Hi-Vis polo shirt, Hi-Vis fleece jacket and a number of Hi-Vis motorway, safety and bomber jackets.
It is difficult to do justice to the new brands in a short article, all in all, you will need to get your hands on a BTC activewear brochure to appreciate the new products offered, not forgetting the numerous price reductions listed.
