Among the visitors to this year's show was Jennifer Sherratt, who had developed a format to ensure that her daughter was never lost!
Jennifer has developed 'the find me top', a hi viz tabard especially for children that features reflective tape and a space for the parent's mobile phone number. Printed on the front is the message 'If I am lost please see reverse' and on the back it says 'If I am lost' with a panel that can be lifted, in which the number can be placed.
Jennifer said, 'I was at Westgate House and I briefly lost my daughter, thankfully I got her back but the idea came to me that if a parent could put their mobile number on their child and they get lost, people can ring you if they find them.'
The mobile number is simply written on a piece of paper that is inserted into a plastic sleeve underneath a flap that the finder is instructed to lift. This ensures that the parent's number is not exposed unnecessarily and can be removed and changed should the number be changed.
The tabard is available in sizes from 1½ to 5/6 and is washable at temperatures of up to 40°C. A plain white T-shirt has also been produced for the summer months. For further information contact Jennifer on 01778 347788 or email: jennifer@jennifer8.wanadoo.co.uk.
