Fruit of the Loom presents creative challenge award

Fruit of the Loom presented Estonian garment decorators Fifaa AS with their coveted 2005 Creative Challenge Award during the PSI show in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Fifaa AS won the annual pan-European T-shirt design competition with its 'Jump 4 Joy' special effects print on to a Fruit of the Loom Baseball T.

Jane Goodman, Vice President of Marketing for Fruit of the Loom, presented Lauri Lillevars, Chairman of Fifaa AS, with the striking Creative Challenge winners' trophy. As well as the trophy, Fruit of the Loom framed Fifaa AS's winning T-shirt for the company to display at its headquarters in Tallinn.

Fifaa AS's main prize was €10,000 worth of business equipment of its choice. The company opted for a cutter for use in the production of heat transfer numbers and designs, a printer to allow the in-house production of films for screen printing, and new frames for its printing presses and embroidery machine. In addition, its embroidery department will take delivery of a new computer, which will be used to run punching programs.

‘Fifaa AS were deserving winners of the 2005 Creative Challenge, having produced a stunning T-shirt design that brilliantly interpreted the competition brief. We trust that the new equipment they have chosen as their first prize will inspire their continued success in the future,’ Jane Goodman comments.

Fruit of the Loom reports a highly successful appearance at both the PSI show, and Expo Reclam in Spain. The company's new Ringer T was the centre of interest at both events, with the new Fruit of the Loom Sweats, featuring 100% combed ringspun cotton facing, another major draw for visitors. The 65/35 Polos, which are now guaranteed to perform at a 60°C wash, also received constant attention throughout the shows.
