What do you want from your workwear supplier: garments that are tough, but smart; clothes that are comfortable, but durable; apparel that is fit for purpose, but adds value to a corporate identity?
If you’ve answered ‘yes’ to the above, and you also want a great choice of suitable colours and sizes, instant product availability, and prices to match your customers’ budgets, then Fruit of the Loom’s 2006 activewear collection ticks all the right boxes.
‘We’ve set out to not only match, but exceed our customers’ workwear requirements,’ says Jane Goodman, Fruit of the Loom’s Vice President of Marketing. ‘We’ve paid especially close attention to our fabrics, as they, more than anything, determine a garment’s appearance, comfort and long-term performance.’
Workwear gets dirty. It’s an unavoidable fact of working life. The challenge for workwear suppliers is to provide garments that can be easily and thoroughly cleaned, day after day, week after week, and still continue to enhance a business’s corporate identity. The Fruit of the Loom 65/35 Polo range does just that.
The 65/35 Polo, 65/35 Pocket Polo and 65/35 Heavy Polo are made in 65% polyester/35% cotton fabrics, (the Polo and Pocket Polo in 170/180 gm/m2; the Heavy Polo in 220/230 gm/m2). The fabrics have been developed to meet both customers’ durability requirements and easycare needs, including, from 2006, guaranteed performance to a 60°C wash. The ability to launder the garments at up to 60°C, without compromising their looks or fitness for purpose, will make the effective removal of odours and stains easier than ever.
With a traditional three-button fused placket, 1x1 rib knit collar and cuffs, and a choice of up to 14 popular corporate colours, the new 65/35 Polos look stunning and, thanks to their hardwearing fabrics, they stay that way.
Who would wear a scratchy woollen jumper all day at work, when they could be wearing a super-soft sweatshirt? Now, this contemporary garment has even greater appeal, following Fruit of the Loom’s introduction of ‘next generation’ fleece fabrics for the workplace.
The company has switched a number of recently launched sweatshirt styles, as well as some old favourites, to a new fleece fabric featuring a cotton rich facing. The Lady-Fit Sweat Jacket, men’s Sweat Jacket, Lady-Fit Raglan Sweat, Zip Through Hooded Sweat, Zip Neck Sweat and Heavy Hooded Sweat all share the new fabric construction.
The Lady-Fit Sweats are made in 75% cotton/25% polyester (280 gm/m2); the Heavy Hooded Sweat in 80% cotton/20% polyester (340 gm/m2); and the remaining styles in 70% cotton/30% polyester (280 gm/m2).
What they all have in common is their 100% ringspun cotton facing. The facing boasts a denser knit, providing a superior surface for print, plus greatly enhanced wash and wear performance. And by knitting the polyester yarns into the reverse of the fabric, the garment maintains all of the strength and durability associated with a polycotton blend.
Fruit of the Loom supplies an extensive range of contemporary activewear that is ideal for use in a wide variety of demanding workplaces. As well as its Super Premium Ts and 65/35 Polos, the company supplies 15 other T-shirt styles and five other polos (for men and women), plus a choice of 13 sweats (including three styles of jog pants), Microfleece jackets, Outdoor Fleece and water-resistant Outerwear
