Organisations, and particularly small and medium sized enterprises, are now much more aware of the importance overall image contributes towards business success.
Outside perceptions of an organisation are influenced by many factors including a practical and important facet of working life - the way staff dress. Recognising the growth opportunities for garment decorators in this area, BTC activewear features a wide selection of garments from leading international brands in its 2006 brochure whose names have become synonymous with the manufacture of comfortable, durable and functional corporate workwear.
Recently, the importance of garment selection has been heightened as a result of increased mandatory, health and safety regulations. Issues such as garment visibility and protective characteristics have to be carefully considered when making a garment choice, along with style, durability and shape retention.
Indeed, BTC activewear’s own staff at its National Distribution Centre sport a number of garments from Regatta Corporatewear’s thirty-six BTC activewear listed items. Amongst garments the 40 plus staff wear is the Jay bodywarmer, Thor III fleece and the Penny and Sigma fleeces.
BTC activewear’s 2006 brochure boasts the addition of eight new brands, amongst them the introduction of Yoko International that expands the workwear category to include a whole new high visibility sub-section. The new brand contributes twelve safety garments; these include a T-shirt, polo shirt, fleece jacket and a number of motorway, safety and bomber jackets.
Also listed in the brochure for the first time is six new lines from the Ultimate Clothing Collection (UCC), a workwear basics brand which represents exceptional value. The garments, two polo shirts (featuring anti-roll collar and cuffs), two sweatshirts and two full zip polar fleeces will appeal to the corporate workwear buyer in particular.
Dickies workwear brand is also very well represented in the new brochure with a number of coverall and high visibility safety garments being featured, as well as traditional Oxford shirts and ladies blouses. Benefiting from price reductions are three high-vis garments, a bomber jacket, reversible bodywarmer and motorway jacket; all three conform to BS EN471.
New to the Dickies range is two men’s corporate shirts with short and long sleeve styles offered, both are available in collar sizes 15 to 18 with a single black colourway and self coloured buttons. Also in the single black colourway are two ladies corporate shirts, again in long and short sleeve styles, these are offered in sizes 10 - 20.
The catering and chefswear section features twelve new lines from the top quality Denny’s brand, including, new chef’s jackets, trousers and headwear as well as a number of new aprons.
Building on the successful launch last year of a dedicated Corporatewear section, BTC activewear now list twenty-five garments from Kustom Kit corporate clothing. The range includes arguably the most popular “wrinkle free” Oxford shirts in the industry with a wide colour palette to choose from.
Outerwear has been expanded with the introduction of a new range of fashionable high quality, technically advanced garments from Stormtech, featuring nineteen lines ranging from fleece and storm jackets to excellent 3-in-1 and 5-in-1 parkas.
Sunglass brand Bolle also features for the first time within the workwear category, with two styles of safety glasses. Named Silium and Bandido, both styles meet EN166/172 1F and feature polycarbonate lenses with an anti-fog and anti-scratch coating.
