When you are selecting corporatewear as a means for staff to look professional, or tempting customers to buy good quality clothing, it is important that they are kitted out with the best possible options. Dan Raywood talked to Kustom Kit about its new styles and plans for 2006.
When looking at a corporatewear purchase, it is crucial to ensure that you invest in good quality clothing that can stand the test of daily wear and repeated washing whilst keeping its colour and shape. Perhaps most importantly, the end user will always want to wear good quality stylish clothing, believing that it gives them an identity and makes them a part of the team.
As a renowned name in the corporate workwear arena, Kustom Kit has spent several years developing its range to create styles that not only fit within the boundaries of customer demands, but allow for fashionable additions so the wearer will not only feel part of a team in their ‘uniform’, but want to wear it outside the workplace too.
For 2006, instead of a main brochure, the brand has split its range into four sectors - Best Basics, Corporatewear, Team Wear and Kids Wear - and produced mini catalogues for each. Marketing Services Director Ryan Hornbuckle explained the reasons for this development, ‘Last year we produced the main brochure that was popular as always, but it was the mini brochures we created that proved to be a real smash. Decorators liked them as they could target very specific end user groups and due to them being small and lightweight, they were easy and inexpensive to send out to their customers.’
Specialist DL size mailers have also been produced that give an even closer focus on the range, so if you are looking for Kustom Kit garments specifically with Lycra, Jackets & Fleeces, Premium Cotton Polos or the Huggy Fit women’s T-shirt, then these should solve your needs.
A mailer has also been developed to target this year’s sporting events, titled ‘Come on England!’, the mailer contains garments such as the KK616 men’s sporting polo, KK550 sporting T-shirt and KK730 sports sleeveless polo that are offered in national colours and should prove to be popular sellers with 2006’s sporting events, such as the football World Cup and Winter Olympics.
Naturally, 2006 has also seen a number of new introductions into the Kustom Kit product range, and the aforementioned KK730 is one of the new styles. The ladies sleeveless polo features shaped side seams, a double roll tipped collar and a contrast placket, stripe flat knit collar and herringbone taped side vents. Made from 100% combed cotton pique, it is available in a choice of white/red and white/navy and in sizes from 8-20.
This garment has a large potential with this year’s sporting events in mind, but also as a general promotional garment for women looking for a more ‘innovative’ style. With women’s golf increasing continuing to increase in popularity, this also works as a stylish garment that would not be out of place on a warmer day.
In the corporatewear range, the KK100 workforce shirt has been introduced. Made from 65/35 polyester/cotton, it features a button down collar and no chest pocket; it is available in white, light blue and black and in sizes from S-2XL. This shirt is designed as a smarter alternative to a polo shirt yet offered at a comparable price.
For women, the KK710 Oxford shirt features a stylish ¾ length sleeve and carries many of the same stylings as the KK715 Continental blouse with Kustom Kit’s fine weave easy iron oxford fabric. The KK710 has an open neck and fused collar with front and back darts. It is available in black, red, light blue and white and in a choice of sizes from 8-20.
The KK795 cap sleeve blouse completes the women’s offering. Made from 57% cotton/40% polyester/3% lycra, it features an open neck, fused collar, darts on the back and curved front panels with piping details. It is available in a choice of white, light blue and black and in sizes from 8-20.
Ryan said, ‘This style is ideal for anybody who needs stretchable qualities in a garment, the cap sleeves are stylish and the open neck is ideal for someone who is going to be moving around a lot while wearing it but wants to remain comfortable – bar or retail staff for example.’
With the additional launches of tracksuits and a training jacket for both adults and kids there have been a total of eight new styles introduced for 2006. Ryan explained, ‘With these new styles we have looked to fill niches in the market where we felt there was a need for such a garment.’ The resulting additions and a desire to carry more stock across the range has led to an extension to Kustom Kit’s headquarters in the East Midlands, giving an additional 34% storage space.
Once again the rule has been proved that if you are looking for good quality corporatewear and want something that will give you a strong image and allow your staff to feel good in and out of work about their appearance, it pays to buy from the best.
