Henbury
Published:  09 March, 2006

The influences of fashion trends are playing an ever-increasing role in the design and development of styles for the corporate wear market and Henbury has been among the main brands addressing this.

Colours, fabrics and fit are now far more important to the buyer as well as the end user. People want to have the choice of being able to buy products that they want to wear. The high street provides the most immediate source for fashion looks and trends and the main retail shops are helping push through some of the most exciting fashion statements we have seen for decades.

The most important area of development has to be within the ladieswear sector. No longer do women want to be forced to wear over-sized, unflattering and unyielding garments, designed and fitted for men. At Henbury, the opportunity to fit garments for a feminine form allows a better fit - and ultimately better promotion for the brand.

There has also been a shift in the fit of men’s styling too. Slimmer fitting and shorter bodied polo shirts and T-shirts are favoured and this has been reflected in the new styles presented by Henbury this year. The new Ultimate T Shirt has been designed with a slightly slimmer silhouette as well as fantastic detailed features such as a V stitching detail at the neck and panel details under the arms. It is also offered in some great fashion colours, which reflect the current fashion pallet.

New up to date colours have also been added into the Henbury Classic Cotton Polo shirt, making the 2006 colour offer up to 33 colours. The urban street theme can also be seen in its new Bar Shirt, which again has a slimmer fit with a fashionable silver stud fastening and front cargo pockets, again a big influence from the catwalks and high streets.

Unisex garments have also become a product of the urban fashion movement – with garments designed in a wider size range from XS – 2XL casualwear has become acceptable in both men’s and womenswear.

Hoodies continue to be seen everywhere and the Henbury Hoodie is no exception. It is made in a heavyweight fleece with a double hood, and the V panel details features in the new T-shirt as well as the crew neck sweatshirt. It also has two new fashion colours in the Burnt Orange and Plum.
