The increase in sales of its existing two hooded styles: the 50/50 cotton/polyester 12500 and the 80/20 cotton/polyester 9500, which are available in 13 and 16 colours respectively, has prompted the brand to add two more hooded garments for 2006.

The first is the 18600, an Adult Full Zip hood made from 50/50 cotton/polyester which has a single lined hood with matching drawstring and is made from Air Jet Spun yarn (offering a softer feel and no pilling) and features twin needle stitching, set in sleeves and a 1x1 rib with Lycra. In addition, it is available in nine colours and five sizes from S to 2XL.

The second hood is the 18500B Youth Hood, which is also made from 50/50 cotton/polyester 265gsm Air Jet Spun yarn. Its 12 colours include the basics: white, navy, forest, black, royal, maroon, ash and heather, plus the more fashionable light pink, purple and light blue. As this garment is produced specifically for children it has no drawstring. As long as the demand for hoods remains you can be assured that Gildan will continue to produce excellent value, quality garments in a variety of popular colours.
