Tombo, the brand known in the promotional clothing industry for football kit and professional standard general sportswear, is gearing up a level for 2006.
The brand's manufacturers, Lea Sportswear, identified a growing trend in the retail sector for sportswear with breathable mesh panelling that allows players to keep their cool. As a result, a high number of new styles from Tombo for 2006 incorporate this same mesh panelling, which means garment decorators can now offer their customers the premium-standard sportswear worn by professional sports people.
Phil Hurley, European Sales Manager for Lea Sportswear, explains the thinking behind the latest Tombo launches. ‘Many of the best known retail brands have introduced mesh panelling into their sportswear, and it is flying out of the shops. More and more, you see professional players, for example on the tennis circuit, wearing what we call performance garments, where mesh panelling plays a major role in keeping players cool and comfortable. We have therefore produced a broad range of garments, for football and general sports wear, that incorporate mesh panels.’
The new styles include Tombo's TL61 Performance Sports Top (with mesh panelling at side, back and underarm), the TL62 Sleeveless Performance Sports Top (with mesh panelling at side and back) and the TL67 Ladies Performance Sports Top (with mesh side panels).
There are new football styles too : TL04 is Tombo's Short Sleeve Performance Football Shirt, with mesh panelling detail; and TL32 is the new Performance Football Short, with a mesh ventilation strip across the back just below the waist, and mesh panelling on the inside leg.
Other new styles from Tombo also incorporate mesh panelling. The TL43 Ladies Tracksuit has mesh panels underarm on the top and mesh panelling on the bottoms too while the TL45 Half Zip Training Top and TL46 Full Zip Training Top are unisex designs that have mesh panelling with piping. The co-ordinating TL81 Sports Short includes mesh panelling on the side, a ventilation strip across the back and mesh panelling on the inside leg.
