Tunbridge Wells-based printer Signal UK Limited have just installed a 6 colour automatic MHM E type T shirt printing machine.
“The MHM replaces our 6 colour manual carousel and has meant that we can now offer shorter lead times and better trade prices than we were able to offer with the manual machine,” said joint managing director Gary Rose. “We still print short runs however we are now able to take on much larger orders as the machine is capable of printing up to 750 shirts per hour in up to 6 colours."
Signal UK are also undertaking ink trial tests on a new ink system which uses plastisol inks combined with a base and activator to produce very soft hand colourfull prints onto dark coloured T shirts similar to discharge printing but without the formaldehyde.
“We are trying to move into greener more environmentally friendly solutions to print and feel that this is another step in the right direction,” adds Rose.
The continued investment by the two directors Gary Rose and Paul Chapman has meant that Signal UK Limited are now fully automatic.
“The MHM replaced the last piece of manual print equipment that we had and has now joined the semi-automatic flatbed screen print machine and dryer, large format digital and small format digital machines,” said Paul Chapman.
Signal UK Limited are now well placed to undertake all forms of print including garments, stickers, estate agents boards, machine plates, large format posters, signage and exhibition graphics.
