Following its recent endorsement by the Institute of Sales Promotion (ISP), this gives the trade show the opportunity to promote special initiatives to members of all three associations and to benefit from the combined strength of their industry expertise and commercial influence.

The first task for the new BPMA partnership will be to finalise details of a BPMA-sponsored internet caf at the exhibition, which will open its doors for the first time on March 21st 2006 at the Barbican Exhibition Centre, London. The caf will provide free internet and email access to all visitors, effectively allowing them to be in two places at once.

Speaking about the decision to endorse the exhibition, BPMA Chairman John Mallows said, ‘We’ve worked with Ian in the past and we know and like the way he operates. We also know that he delivers on his promises. His new team has a terrific track record too and this all adds up to excellent reasons for our members to get involved.’

Endorsement from the Voucher Association will allow Promotional Marketing 2006 to play an exciting role in its 10th anniversary celebrations. Both parties plan special initiatives to mark the occasion.

Ayers Rock sponsor Ipswich Town Golf Day

Ipswich Town Football Club’s annual Golf Day was sponsored this year by Ayers Rock.

Held at Ufford Park near Ipswich in early October, Ayers Rock provided embellished CR1043 poloshirts in various colours to mirror the participating companies’ image and logos. As well as giving out poloshirts in the goody bags, Ayers Rock also donated embroidered golf towels to each player.

19 teams of four players took part in the day that proved to be a great success. Some of the players from the football club took part, as well as both large and small companies from the Suffolk area and further afield.

The first team teed off at 10am with the last team arriving at the Club House at about 5pm. Several events occurred throughout the day such as ‘Nearest the Pin’ at the 3rd tee, ‘The Longest Drive’ at the 18th and ‘Beat The Pro’ at the 16th. Players also had the opportunity to participate in a putting competition.

All 19 teams assembled for their photo opportunity and looked just the part in the CR1043 Ayers Rock poloshirts. All participants noted on the quality of the poloshirts which looked as good at 10am as they did at the end of the day after an arduous round of golf!
