The Independent Print Industries Association (IPIA) has announced that its annual Autumn trade exhibition will be renamed Print for Business – LIVE! and will take place at the NEC on September 21-22.
The exhibition will be organised by b2b event specialists, Waypoint Exhibitions, and will co-locate with Waypoint’s new Incentives & Promotional Marketing – LIVE! Both of these will run alongside the established Event UK, Leisure Industry Week and Call Centre Expo which attract an audience of 20,000, with visitors having cross-event access to all exhibitions.
The IPIA brings together print managers, print distributors, trade manufacturers, material suppliers and associated service providers to 'create partnerships in print'.
Andrew Pearce, the IPIA’s CEO, said: “The Association has a 17-year history of successful trade exhibitions, but this exhibition will have a completely new persona. As well as delivering the latest product and service innovations, the exhibition will carry serious educational content in the form of workshops, seminars and keynote addresses from leading industry experts.”
The event has the full backing of the IPIA Council, which has negotiated a 20% discount for member exhibitors. The IPIA will also be staging its annual gala dinner at the Motorcycle Museum on September 21.
Stephen Richards, a Director of Waypoint, will be Event Director of Print for Business – LIVE! and Incentives & Promotional Marketing – LIVE! He was responsible for launching and successfully running the National Incentive Show at the NEC until 2001, when it was sold to another organiser. His career in the exhibition industry began in the 1980s and he is responsible for launching and running a number of successful exhibitions in the marketing, events, retail and service industry sectors.
Speaking of the new exhibition, he said: “Print for Business – LIVE! will have its own dynamic marketing campaign and will target print buyers, brokers, managers and print industry specialists. The show will also benefit from a broader promotional campaign in tandem with IP&M – LIVE! extending its reach to marketing decision makers from across all industries.
“The September slot is a proven success for the IPIA’s Autumn show and by developing the educational element, we are confident we can grow the show in content and importance and continue to develop the event to its full potential."
