The New Kornit Breeze direct on garment digital printer was due to be launched at the ISS show in Long Beach USA as Printwear & Promotion went to press.
According to Adelco, it is the first digital garment printer to enable the printing of under base white and CMYK colours at the same time from a single print head array. This greatly increases the print output of the machine while reducing the floor space required.
The Breeze provides a lower cost entry capability to the Kornit range while maintaining the Industrial “Spectra” print head array and automatic, on line Pre-treatment already used on the higher end Kornit 931 and 932 machines.
The new machine will utilise similar water-based inks with Oekotex approval that will provide the lower print costs that Kornit are known for as an Industrial, high output machine manufacturer.
Kornit have already taken orders for more than 30 machines and since the Breeze will not be available for installation until April 2010, they are asking customers to submit an “application of interest” so that they can be added to the waiting list for the earliest possible delivery dates.
Mark Smith from Adelco, Kornits’ distributor for the UK and Ireland stated: “The launch of the New Kornit Breeze has been long-awaited and I have been receiving enquires in the UK for some time, even before the official launch. There are existing companies in the UK that have expressed an intention to purchase once openly available."
