The jury commented: “Mascot is the market leader in terms of design and quality and has a clear goal to be larger. In addition, Mascot has an efficient logistics system ensuring overnight delivery within Denmark."

Grosbøl, as second generation of the family, has been a part of the family-owned business for 17 years and has been at the helm for six years. Over these years, the company operated with an average annual growth of around 20%.

Grosbøl comments: “It is simply the quality the customer wants and we can see that it has succeeded in getting customers to return again and again. We are the only ones in the industry to have our own development and quality laboratories, and it puts us at the top when it comes to quality and innovation compared to our competitors.”

The awards aim to give focus to the challenges owner-managed businesses face today. 

Grosbøl is particularly pleased to receive the prize, and to focus on the success criteria that characterise a healthy business. "I'm very focused on the numbers, and we set targets constantly that the company must achieve.  Besides the products, the economy must also be in focus."

Owner Manager of the Year is awarded in each of the five regions of Denmark and awards a leader who both owns and drives a business, and has demonstrated best practice in owner management.
