A new membership organization, dotgain.org, supported by the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF), has been launched to help lead the way in the modern, multi-channel media landscape.
Dotgain.org is a meeting place for the communications industry that puts the customer at the centre. It embraces the whole supply network including client groups, traditional creative and new media agencies, printers and other digital service providers as well as industry vendors. It will support service providers, such as printers, to adopt different strategies, to develop new capabilities, and to engage with their customers in new ways.
Michael Johnson, BPIF chief executive said: “Digital technology has changed the face of all media, including print. In order to survive, all parties involved must adapt and focus on customers’ changing needs. Printers and creatives alike are working more closely together than ever before, and dotgain.org is providing a meeting place for these to interact and support each other.”
Dotgain.org offers a range of services, including training, consultancy, networking and events – both online and offline. An immediate benefit of joining dotgain.org is membership of PODi, a well-established organisation of digital print’s foremost innovators based in the USA. Dotgain.org members will automatically get full membership of PODi at no extra cost.

Dotgain.org will have its own advisory council and board made up of representatives from all membership sectors. It will be headed by programme manager, Tony Hodgson.
