Azon have been at the forefront of affordable, entry level printers for many years and recent developments in ink and software have resulted in Adelco adding the Azon equipment to their range.

The company's Mark Smith commented: "Consistency of machine output and print head stability have always been a concern of mine with the smaller, entry level machines on the market. With recent improvements in ink technology, particularly with white inks, we have been convinced that the Azon range, which uses a different ink technology to most of the other Epson-based machines, is capable of producing quality images on dark garments, reliably and consistently.

"Of course, care must be taken with print head maintenance as it must with all DTG printers that utilise white inks, but I felt the Azon range offered advantages in performance at this level.

"The Kornit range of Industrial DTG printers still hold great advantages such as higher output, lower print costs and automated pre-treatment for those that require a more industrial, high production system at a different price range."

There are several machines in the Azon range that Adelco have included in this agreement:

The Azon Texpro is based on the Epson 4880 with Teflon-coated print heads and will print onto dark and light garments including T shirts, sweat shirts, polos etc.

The Texpro refillable cartridges use technology unique to Azon that provides a more reliable, clean ink feed. The drive system is extremely accurate and provides precise print detail in Uni and Bi directional print modes.

Adelco are offering a special start up package with all the items required to commence a digital print department that includes the "Power RIP" software recommended for simple, high quality file manipulation from almost any file format.

The Azon Micro is a versatile DTS machine that will print promotional products using echo friendly solvent inks on materials including various plastics, coated ceramics, glass, metal, wood and canvass. This enables excellent output with minimum set up for printing products such as golf balls, lighters, mugs, tiles etc.

Adelco will also supply the Azon UV jet printer for flat bed and roll to roll printing as well as the Azon AGX series of solvent based, wide format digital printers.
