Members of Promota, the Promotional Merchandise Trade Association, have voted unanimously in favour of moving on negotiations with the bpma (British Promotional Merchandise Association) with a view to amalgamating the two trade bodies.
The Board will now endeavour to reach a timely conclusion to the debate in the best interests of its members.
The Promota AGM, held at The Heritage Motor Centre in Warwickshire, on October 27 saw 30 member companies pressing the board for more details to help them to make an informed decision.
Promota chairman, Rod Duncan, said: "We are committed to giving our members answers, and we will make our recommendation to the membership once we have negotiated the fine detail. Our members are our priority, and any discussions we have will be with their best interests in mind."
