PenCarrie's knitwear range comes from top brands including Henbury, Russell Collection, RTY Workwear and Kariban Sailing.
Most of the 17 styles available are aimed at the corporate and workwear market.
Classic crew neck and V neck styles feature alongside more contemporary designs which, as PenCarrie notes, are on the increase. Knitwear comes in a variety of different yarns or blends depending on the garment's function; some styles have elastane for extra stretch and fit; and many (including pure wool sweaters) are machine washable.
Sweatshirts available from PenCarrie also cater for all needs. The choice is vast and includes standard weight drop-shoulder and raglan styles; heavyweight styles; zip neck, V neck and button neck styles; and hoodies of all sorts.
Newest arrivals for Autumn 2009 come from Gildan and Just Hoods. Other top sweatshirt brands include Fruit of the Loom, Jerzees, Skinnifit and Skinnifitmen, Hanes, Henbury, Front Row and Wombat.
Hard-wearing sweats come from Russell Workwear and RTXTRA; and extra soft organic cotton sweats come from Okarma.
In selecting some knitwear examples, PenCarrie focuses on some of the contemporary styles available. These include Henbury's H731 lambswool sleeveless V neck sweater for men, a cool choice for smart office wear.
Russell Collection's rib knit full zip cardigan is equally fashionable, with its fitted look and two-way zip with tear drop pull. Made from CottonBlend (50% cotton/50% acrylic), it is available in both men's and ladies' versions coded 714M/714F.
Kariban's KB943 Paco zip neck sweater is a slightly chunkier rib knit option, made from 100% cotton. Fashion details include the use of jersey knit for the shoulders and back yoke as a contrast to the rib knit of the body.
Different again is the KM301 open collar jumper from Kariban Sailing, a casual, continental influenced design also made from 100% cotton.
Sweatshirts of all kinds
Newest on the sweatshirt scene at PenCarrie are the JH003 Varsity Hoodie from Just Hoods (the brand's first bi-colour garment), and Gildan's GD56 Heavy Blend drop shoulder sweatshirt, available in 26 plain colours. Both sweatshirts arrived in July this year and early sales have been good.
Consistent top sellers such as Jerzees Colours 762M and Fruit of the Loom's SS8, both raglan sweats, continue to enjoy universal popularity. All these sweats are ideal for school, college and business wear as well as for general promotional and souvenir purposes.
PenCarrie also offers a number of sweatshirts that have something a little different, giving them - and the wearer - a degree of individuality.
Wombat, Skinnifit, Skinnifitmen, and Front Row are among many brands stocked by PenCarrie. Sweatshirt collections include tops which have button or zip necks, and which may also have sleeve pockets or thumb-holes in the cuff in keeping with high fashion styles to be found in retail.
