The Printwear & Promotion Garment Decoration Awards are back for 2010!

They're back by popular demand and there are a host of new categories in our new, improved garment decoration awards. Winners will be announced at the Printwear & Promotion Exhibition 2010.

It's a golden opportunity for you to shine and show everyone what you can do.

For the 2010 awards, we have introduced a new category to reflect the latest decoration techniques and trends. The Best Combined or Other Decoration Award gives you the chance to show off a combination of designs using, for example, rhinestone application, sublimation, embroidery or transfer printing.

The full list of categories is as follows:

  • Best special effect screen print
  • Best screen print on a light garment
  • Best screen print on a dark garment
  • Best direct to garment inkjet print
  • Best dye sublimation print
  • Best transfer print
  • Best embroidery
  • Best combined or other decoration

All entries must include details about the techniques that were used in production. For more information about what to include in this information, please refer to the rules on this page.

The identity of each entrant will only be known to the entrants themselves and to the organizer, until after the judging process. Entries with the company name or contact details on the garment will be disqualified.

This year, for the first time, we will be presenting winners with their awards at the Printwear & Promotion exhibition. Presentations will take place on Tuesday, March 2. Winners will be notified by Friday, February 12.

Awards will be posted to those who cannot attend.

Visitors to Printwear & Promotion 2010 will be able to see the winning entries - and runners up - in a special display on our stand.

Please note that entries cannot be returned unless postage and packing costs are prepaid and a request is made at the time of entry.

The final date for entries to arrive is January 15, 2010. Entries received after this date will not be accepted.

Rules for entry

  1. All entries must be received at our premises by 15th January 2010.  Entries received after this date will not be accepted.
  2. Only entries that fall within the categories designated by The Organiser, Datateam Business Media, will be accepted.
  3. Entries must have been produced between January 2009 and January 2010.
  4. Each entry must be accompanied with a separate entry form.
  5. All entries must include a detailed description of the techniques used in production and should include, where appropriate, information on the following:
    The origination. Is it your own?
    The machinery used, ie: hand carousel/belt printer/mechanized carousel etc.
    Was the item part of a production run or a one off?
    Which side is to be judged (If both sides are decorated).
    This information will assist the judges in finalising their decision so please provide as much relevant information as possible.
  6. The identity of each entrant will only be known to the person making the entry and The Organiser until after the judging process. Therefore entries with the company name or contact details on the garment will be disqualified.
  7. Judging will take place prior to the exhibition. The ruling on the awards will be at the complete discretion of the appointed judges and will not be open to discussion. The judges' decision is final.
  8. All winners will be notified by Friday 12th February. Awards will be presented on Tuesday March 2nd at Printwear & Promotion Live 2010 to those able to be present. Winners unable to attend will receive their awards by post to the name and address given on the entry form.
  9. All winning and runner up entries will be on display at Printwear & Promotion Live 2010.
  10. Details of all winning entries will be published in the April issue of Printwear & Promotion Magazine.
  11. The Organisers are unable to return any entries unless postage and packing costs are prepaid and return requested at the time of entry.
