Visage, one of the UK's largest importers of clothing, have upgraded to the latest version of the ATMS StockTrack PLUS warehouse management system.
Throughput at the Washington, Tyne and Wear, warehouse has grown substantially over the past few years and with ever changing supplier and customer demands it was imperative Visage ensured they remained at the pinnacle of efficiency.
Visage's Graeme Broadhead comments: "We needed to ensure that not only we had the ability to provide our customers with instant and comprehensive information but also to have extensive operational visibility.
"The new version allows us to grow in to other technologies available such as remote labeling, advanced perpetual Inventory and use of the Event manager which allows us to pre-program processes to happen in specific scenarios which includes emailing customers with agreed information automatically."
The upgrade also allows Visage to take advantage of the packing module to enable more value added processing, and the remote labelling module to streamline shipments from suppliers and pre-plan dispatches based on the accurate information available when using the module.
Visage have also used the upgrade as a reason to change the dynamics of the warehouse to control product at carton level rather than at pallet level providing better flexibility for the customer.
