BTC Activewear: Can you BTC the difference?
Following a meteoric rise over the last few years BTC activewear has evolved into one of the industry's leading distributors, without losing any of the character and individuality on which it was created 20 years ago.
Published:  31 July, 2009

Great brands

BTC activewear was one of the first and is still the largest Fruit of the Loom distributor in the UK and has also introduced many other popular brands to the industry over the years, including Gildan, Regatta, Stormtech and Dickies.

For 2009 they are offering a stable of 40 market leading names including Kustom Kit, Russell, Result, Stedman, Denny's, Earth Positive, Lee Cooper and the iconic Nike Golf brand.

From July, BTC activewear is offering a number of additions including the TECH range of Performance Soft Shell garments to their ever-growing Result jacket collection: the TECH range is an innovatively styled, technically advanced multi-activity collection, designed to provide that ultimate weather protection and respond to your every move.

Biggest workwear brands for the biggest jobs!

BTC activewear recognised the massive potential that branded workwear can offer the imprint industry and has lined-up an exceptional stable of leading workwear names to compliment the well established Dickies and Yoko brands.

For the first time ever, such iconic names as Mascot, Caterpillar, Snickers, Helly Hansen and Panoply are available on a next-day before-noon delivery - and from last month there's the addition of DeWalt and Lee Cooper to the industry's most comprehensive collection of workwear.

Massive inventory at their brand new distribution centre

Located at the very heart of the country's motorway network, BTC activewear's massive new home has storage capacity for 10,000 pallets, which is over £20m worth of stock - the biggest in the industry!

Joint MD Glenn Hyams said: "Our intention is simply to stock every garment in depth - to always to be able to say ‘YES' to any customer's request."

Award winning customer service

A major factor in the massive success of BTC activewear has been great customer service, something that has been recognised by their winning of successive industry awards over each of the last 3 years.

Local sales offices

Only BTC activewear has regional offices, with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable sales teams on-tap to deal with customers' requirements: they have 4 offices in Blackburn, London, Ivybridge (near Plymouth) and Wednesbury together with 2 Country Managers based in Scotland and Ireland.

Next-day before-noon delivery

- and that's as standard! Customers can simply order before 4.30 and take delivery the following morning without incurring any surcharges.

On-line ordering

BTC activewear is confident that their On-Line-Ordering system is probably the best designed and simplest to use in the industry. And to remind customers of the many benefits, they've created a cute and memorable character by the name of ‘OLO' (short for On-Line Ordering).

Launched last year and accessed via the BTC activewear home page, customers can conveniently check stock levels for individual sizes and colours of every garment and build their order throughout the day. When on-line they can search by key words (including brand, garment code and colour) and quickly access the previous 5 recently viewed garments.

Once an order has been raised, customers receive an order confirmation within minutes and a reassuring despatch confirmation later that day, which includes the tracking number of their consignment.

Practical marketing support

To help customers' market themselves, BTC activewear offers a number of cost-effective services including priced web-links and various printed material, all of which are available personalised with customers' logos and contact details.

For 2008 they introduced catalogues containing optional marked-up prices which have proven to be extremely popular. Earlier this year they launched a cost-effective, 64-page Mini Workwear Catalogue in a convenient A5 format that's ideal for mailing as it qualifies for minimum postage costs.

BTC activewear was re-branded at the start of the year with an exciting new corporate identity across all of its marketing material, reflecting the energy and sheer dynamism running through the company.
