Multicolour printer features new standard remote diagnostics
Published:  05 June, 2009

M&M's Centurian high speed automatic multicolour textile printer has been upgraded to include the latest electronics.

Manufactured by the AWT World Trade Group, remote diagnostics now comes as standard on the Centurian.

A direct link via modem between an onboard microprocessor and AWT's main diagnostics computer enables instant worldwide service with just a phone call, offering fast identification and correction of any malfunction.

In 80% of cases, the delay and expense of an onsite service call can be eliminated, and no local PC hookup is required.

Other advancements include the Centurian's PLC controller with a touch-screen interface, with screen menus that list press commands in simple language rather than awkward alpha-numeric codes.

Each menu offers a choice of operational controls, production-data feedback, or diagnostic troubleshooting.

Standard features include; pneumatically controlled indexer-locking V forks for + .001 registration repeatability, a special production/setup mode for indexer operation from any station, front-loading screens for improved visibility and easy changeovers, and a pneumatic squeegee system that automatically maintains uniform print pressure in all directions.

The standard 18ins high screen-lift makes cleaning easy, while lock-in heads and pallet-tip supports ensure zero pallet deflection for even tone throughout the print stroke.

Centurian has from 10 to 18 stations and a top speed of 75 dozen garments per hour, with configurations to suit most needs. It prints up to 16 colours.

The Centurian is available in the UK from Dave Renton Screen-print Supplies at www.nesms.co.uk/shop/home.php or from www.awt-europe.com/
