Digital specialists B&P Lightbrigade offer a range of large format printers and finishing systems.

The company recently unveiled its Uniform range of digital printers, including the Uniform Commander, a flatbed UV printer in widths or 1.8m, 2.5m and 3.2m; the Uniform Grenadier GFX, a 2.6m baby grand format roll-fed solvent printer; and the Uniform Broadsword, a large format plotter and cutter for finishing rigid materials.

B&P Lightbrigade Sales Director Andrew Wilson said, ‘In just over two years our Uniform brand has grown to be one of the most successful ranges of large format solvent printing systems in the UK.’

‘With Uniform Pro we’re extending this approach to large format flatbed UV printing and finishing, plus super-wide solvent printing. We have put in place more specialist pre-sales assistance and post-sales support for these systems.’

The Uniform Commander is of particular interest to the garment decoration industry, as due to its excellent opacity and adhesion offered by UV curable ink technology, output is consistent on any media so it is ideal for both interior and exterior jobs. As well as being versatile enough to print on textiles, it can also decorate on acrylics, glass, cardboard and vinyl.

The company also offer the Bullet from the Uniform brand too, which is specifically designed to decorate promotional accessories and consumables. The Bullet has the ability to print onto media at up to 100mm thick and up to 2880 dpi photographic resolution and onto a variety of surfaces including ceramic, glass, metal, plastic and fabrics.

The Bullet works by the user selecting the substrate to print on, a pre-coat is then applied using a spray can or compressor and a heat gun is then used to dry/cure the item before it is printed in the Bullet. After this the item is left to dry at normal room temperature for five-ten minutes.

The Bullet uses Uniform Bullet ink, which is a heat curable mild solvent that is chemically matched to the pre-coatings to ensure optimal colour, durability and wear resistance.
