Employees from industrial firms were among golfers competing for a prestigious golfing prize recently, and looked smart on the day in clothing supplied by UK Leisurewear.
Sponsored by Weg Electric Motors and supported by ConnectingIndustry.com and the industrial division of Datateam Publishing - the publishers of Printwear & Promotion - the Engineering and Manufacturing Corporate Masters golf event was played out at the Forest of Arden championship golf course in Warwickshire on the 23rd August.
Employees from a broad range of industrial firms such as Alfa Laval, Halifax Fans, Thorn Lighting and Phoenix Mecano, were among the 70 golfers competing for the prize of a fully paid trip to take part in the Corporate Masters Grand Final at the Four Seasons Resort, Cote D¹Azure, France.
The eventual winners were Damian Clifford from Seepex Pumps and Andy Smalley from Hartwell Motors, and they will represent the Manufacturing and Engineering Sector against a host of other industries. Just losing out on the top spot in second position came David Silvers from PSE and Andy Stephenson of A-Z Golf Ltd and in third position, Simon Cranfield of BSL and John Guildford from Aerzen Machines.
Organised by Professional Sports Events, The Corporate Masters is now in its seventh year and remains one of the leading corporate events in the UK golfing calendar.
