Beechfield has donated beanie hats, gloves and a set of Teamwear Caps to ‘Back2Africa in 2010' - a charity project that is raising funds for the Twabuka Community School in Sindie, Zambia.
The project, which is run by sixth form students from the Coopers' Company and Coborn School, Essex, funded the construction and resourcing of the community school in Zambia in 2006. The sixth formers returned to extend the school in 2008 and are currently raising £15,000 to fund further works to the school during their next visit to Africa, in 2010.
A spokesperson for ‘Back2Africa in 2010' extended, "A big thank you from all of us to Beechfield who came to our rescue with the offer of beanie hats and gloves (for the cold evenings) and also the set of team caps to protect us from the heat of the midday sun. We are also very grateful for the pledge of money to help towards any embroidery costs."
Roger McHugh, of Beechfield, comments: "It is a pleasure to be able to help such a dedicated and inspiring group of young people who are making a real difference to the lives of less privileged children in Africa." For more information visit the brand's website: www.beechfield.com.
