MASCOT is set to be one of the stars of this year's Health and Safety Expo at the NEC in Birimingham, which takes place between May 12-14.
The company has among the broadest programmes of safety clothing and its fluorescent safety gear makes the wearer visible in all working environments.
Ever conscious of quality, the firm uses the highest class of reflective strips, Class 2, which reflects light from the traffic back to make the wearer visible. By combining MASCOT's fluorescent jacket and trouser Safety Class 3 is achieved, which is the highest class of safety clothing.
MASCOT has also chosen to put Teflon® in many of its safety workwear. Teflon® treatment makes products dirt repellent which in return means they are more visible between washes than products without Teflon® . In recent years the company has developed the range of fabrics and styles it produces in certified products. This allows wearers to choose between Soft Shell Jackets and Quilted Jackets all certified to EN471.
For 2009 MASCOT wearers can now have fluorescent work trousers with holster pockets, hammer loops and spacious pockets - the Almas Craftsman's trousers. Being in its SAFE COMPETE range the trousers come in yellow and orange with contrast Navy or Anthracite. As with all of its trousers these come in short and regular lengths.
Also introduced into the SAFE COMPETE range for 2009 are the Lagarto Craftsman's length trousers. Also with holster pockets and hammer loops these length trousers also come with knee pad pockets for those working on their knees.
An adult and child Traffic Vest complete the 2009 new additions to the MASCOT SAFE range. Danish based MASCOT International is Europe's 3rd largest manufacturer of workwear, selling workwear only through a large network of distributors. MASCOT has 300 employees in Europe as well as 3000 workers in production facilities overseas including its own production facility in Vietnam.
The company received the award for "Product Quality Leadership" in 2006, awarded by international research company Frost & Sullivan - an accolade only given every five years. For more information see www.mascot.dk
