With developments to the brand, a new brochure and website launched and nine new styles in the range, the rest of 2005 is set to be busy for Regatta Corporatewear. Dan Raywood learnt more.
Since its launch in 2001, the Regatta Corporatewear range has become one of the most recognised outerwear brands in the promotional industry.
Combining the knowledge and technology gained from servicing the retail industry with fashion and practical outdoor garments allowed the corporate brand to be established, and subsequent success has seen its popularity consistently rise.

September and the autumn sees the beginning of Regatta’s busy season with the demand for casual jackets and fleeces rising as end users seek the warmer options with the year progressing and winter drawing in.
Though the natural assumption is that an outerwear brand would see the majority of its sales during the autumn and winter, Regatta Corporatewear Brand Manager Anthony Haber admitted, ‘We see that padded fleeces, padded jackets and 3 in 1 sell all the year round. We have stock all year round as the market demands that you have to have all the styles available.'
For the corporate wear range, garments are developed that will continue for as long as the demand is present. For a retail brand this was unusual at first, but Anthony admits that ‘Styles carry on as it is not a seasonal business. If you want to be in this business you have got to have stock.’
The style offering has been extended further for 2006, with nine new styles available from the company. Anthony explained that the Regatta Corporatewear’s new brochure is initially produced at a time so as not to clash with the brochures of other ranges offered, but also to ahead for the coming seasons with a range that is now valid until the end of 2006.
The new catalogue sees the company utilise outdoor photography of its range rather than indoor studio images, with practical pursuits perceived to be a better surrounding to further enhance the garments’ qualities.
For example, the 2006 brochure sees the introduction of the Club jacket and Club pant that are suited for practical skiing and winter sports. The outer is made from waterproof and breathable Isotex 5000 coated textured taslan fabric with a nylon dobby fabric overlay..
The Club jacket and pant are equipped with features that suit the practical use on the slopes, such as a detachable snowskirt that will stop snow from going up your back if you fall over, underarm ventilation zips and internal fitted gloves in the sleeves. Both styles are available for men, women and children and in a choice of three contrast colours.
Elsewhere there is the Hannibal II waterproof reversible jacket, which features a waterproof hydrafort peached polyester fabric outer and a 200 series anti-pill symmetry fleece inner. The Hannibal is available in three contrast colours - black/ash, royal blue/navy, and navy/navy - and in sizes S-XXXL.
A new casual jacket is the Atlantis, which has a lightweight polyamide outer with a tonal fleece body lining and features a studded and velcro stormflap and a concealed hood. The Atlantis is available in five colours - black/black, lava/lava, royal blue/royal blue, navy/dark navy and bottle green/bottle green - and in sizes from S-XXXL for adults and sizes 2-12, 32Ó-36’ for children.
The product offering also continues to offer existing styles for men, women and children with the outdoor adventurer well catered for. This autumn will see greater activity by Regatta Corporatewear both in the UK and in Europe, so expect to see a lot more of the outerwear specialist.
