Having spent the last month visiting companies and events in the business, it's clear there are some impressive developments heading our way this year. Many of these new product and equipment advancements and far more besides will be revealed at the P&P exhibition which is fast approaching.
I for one will be looking forward to seeing the lid lifted at our NEC event on some very interesting technology which should make for a fine 20th anniversary show. In this month's magazine our focus areas include the significant t-shirt market plus plenty of hints and tips on embroidery production and design with our new monthly column from industry expert Tony Whitmore. There's also some timely sales and marketing advice with our Business Monitor.
In this issue we also check out the merchandising potential of the motorsports industry, which appears to be in relatively robust health in the UK largely due to a certain young Lewis Hamilton claiming the F1 crown.
This month also sees a renewed focus on ethical trading as Fairtrade Fortnight takes centre stage in the media. We investigate this multi-million pound industry and examine new Fairtrade printwear t-shirts. Last but far from least, Paul Stephenson adds his distinctive humour with postcards from the edge. I hope you enjoy my full debut edition!
