UKL trade show attracts printwear's finest
Published:  02 February, 2009

Some of the biggest names in the printwear world turned out with new ranges at the UKL trade exhibition. The three-day event at the company's Swindon base gave buyers and industry insiders alike the chance to check out what's likely to be big in Printwear this year.

UKL has introduced seven new brands into its latest catalogue, with a new Calvin Klein Golf range, Uhlsport football brand plus B and C's new his and hers t-shirts and jackets.

Some of the other highlights included Regatta's latest new compound 3-in-1 jackets featuring a softshell inner lining, a budget range of fleeces including an all-new fleece hoodie.

Beechfield has produced some innovative new caps featuring sweat bands and smart high-street fashion orientated styling, plus its diverse choice of Quadra and Westford Mill bags.

Fruit of the Loom's latest Organic cotton t-shirts were also on show along with Mantis World's 2009 collection of 12 new t-shirts. Another impressive display came from relative newcomer Ayres Rock, which has high hopes for its high-quality rugby shirts that have excellent embroidery potential in such a big sporting year.

Russell Europe demonstrated some smart thinking with its latest interactive computer ordering system allowing customers to efficiently and easily select a huge range of workwear, schoolgear and Jerzees technical outerwear products.

On the print side, there was a strong showing from firms such as The Magic Touch, demonstrating its new digital printing toners. These allow greater durability for printed designs and are destined to be one of its big sellers for 2009.
