Teamwear leads the pack in motorsports promotion

PenCarrie has a straightforward approach to seeking out styles that are suitable for motorsport promotions. "Go for the best teamwear brands," says Andrea Charteris, Customer Services Manager at PenCarrie.

"They offer the quality necessary in this market with garments that look good and perform superbly. Look for styles in multi-colourways - red, black and white for example. Jackets and caps are usually top of a buyer's list; offering a matching holdall can bring in useful additional sales," she advises.

PenCarrie stocks three principal teamwear brands: Finden & Hales, Kustom Kit Gamegear® and Tombo Teamwear. All have much to offer including jackets that fall into the light-tomidweight or midweight categories most favoured by the motorsport sector.

Finden & Hales also offer soft shell styles. New for this year are their LV620 Team Soft Shell Jacket and LV621 Ladies Team Soft Shell Jacket. Both have a funnel neck collar, so often seen around race tracks. Within the Finden & Hales range is their popular LV601 Team Jacket. With a 100% nylon taslan outer and polyester fleece body lining, this is a waterproof, midweight style. Another favourite, this time from Tombo Teamwear, is the TL96 Performance Jacket, a similarly midweight style that has a fleece lining and is showerproof.

Particularly appropriate for this sector is the Kustom Kit Gamegear® Formula Racing® range. New for this year is the K955 Formula Racing® Jacket, a waterproof, midweight style that has a mesh lined upper body and fleece lined lower body. Two further styles from Kustom Kit Gamegear® have a loyal following: they are K950 Sporting Jacket (available in nine multicolourways) and K951 Teamgear Jacket (available in five colourways). These two jackets fall into the light-to-midweight category and are showerproof.

Polo shirts are always popular for promotions and this year Finden & Hales have introduced a new design that is perfect for motorsport. The LV380 Chequered Flag Polo Shirt in 100% cotton pique has a chequered jacquard pattern on the rib collar and cuffs, plus a contrast inner three button placket. It comes in three multi-colourways: black/red/white; navy/royal/white; and red/black/white.

Caps that catch the eye around the circuit are a must and PenCarrie stocks Beechfield's entire range, with all designs available in quantity.

Bags can be useful accessories around the race track and again PenCarrie stocks a wide range. Specialist manufacturer BagBase has designed sports holdalls and backpacks specifically to coordinate with many of the teamwear collections: their BG571 Teamwear Backpack is just one example. Finden & Hales have also introduced a Team Holdall (LV986) in the two key colourways chosen for their new LV980 and LV989 Team Caps mentioned above.
