As we move into the New Year, there are plenty of developments within the garment decoration industry in new materials, technology and ever-expanding product ranges. It's with this in mind that I'd like to introduce myself, Neill Barston, as the new editor of Printwear and Promotion. Many thanks are due to the former post holder, Rebecca Green who made great strides with the publication during her time in terms of its design and content. It's a credit to her that I'm taking the helm on a title that's in such fine health and wish Rebecca all the very best.
Like her, my background in journalism has seen me cover a wide range of news and feature material. I hope to bring this experience to bear on the magazine that will provide a strong new challenge.
Being new to the industry, it's bound to throw up some unexpected twists and turns, so I look forward to meeting readers and advertisers who will doubtless prove invaluable in getting me up to speed on the latest issues.
From in-depth interviews and information on new products and machinery, ethical issues, to focus features and industry news, we are aiming to ensure this remains a vibrant and engaging publication.
As ever, your ideas are valued by the title, so please do feel free to get in touch with thoughts and suggestions on how to maintain and improve upon what has gone before.
With the upcoming Printwear & Promotion exhibition again held at the NEC, I'm sure I'll be catching up with many of you there as the event celebrates its impressive 20 year milestone.
