Military style meets green appeal in Beechfield's new 2009 products. The expanded line up sees the introduction of nine new designs, plus a host of new colourways across established styles. Most notably, the B10 Original 5 Panel Cap is now available in 23 colours, with the addition of new on-trend options: chestnut, emerald, pebble, storm grey, and surf blue.
Beechfield led the way into promo military chic with its original B33 Camouflage Army Cap and B34 Army Cap, and is adding four new Army Cap designs for next year. The new B34b gives kids the opportunity to dress like dad or, more likely, their trendy older brother. Based on the B34, the kids' version is made in the same 100% heavy washed cotton - in Pebble, Navy, Olive Green and Pink - and sports a self-fabric strap with silver effect buckle and grommet.
For the grown ups, the new B38 Urban Army Cap sees the army cap design reinvented in vintage herringbone, heavy washed cotton fabric, (with Rip-StripTM size adjuster). Available in Vintage Black, Vintage Olive and Vintage Stone, this is one for your more discerning and style-conscious customers.
The B36 Melton Wool Army Cap ties in with the latest outerwear trends. Melton wool jackets are set to be big in the promo market in 2009, according to Beechfield, and the B36 complements the jackets' fabric and styling perfectly. Black, Chocolate and Graphite Grey colours accentuate the high perceived value of this most stylish of headwear designs.
Ripe with green appeal, the B834 Organic Cotton Army Cap, along with the B858 Organic Cotton 6 Panel Cap, marks Beechfield's first foray into organic headwear. Both styles are made from 100% organic cotton and are available in four earthy colours - Black, Chestnut, Natural and Olive Green. The B858 is especially noteworthy for its less engineered appearance: its softer, more subtle styling, (for example, it has no button on the crown), gives it a more refined image, says Beechfield.
Away from Army caps and organic headgear, the brand has boosted its performance caps and knitted hat ranges, with the launch of the B181 Coolmax Performance Cap and B455 Classic Peru Hat, respectively. The B181, in Royal, Black or Red, sports mesh ventilation panels on each side of the 100% nylon Taslon crown, and is finished with a moisture-wicking 100% polyester Coolmax sweatband. The B455 combines streetwise styling with the functionality of a micro-fleece lining. It is available in Black or Pebble (with self coloured lining) and provides a simpler, warmer, solid-colour alternative to the popular B465 Heavy Gauge Knitted Peru Hat.
One for the summer, and destined to become a favourite in the travel promotion and souvenir markets, the new B789 Outback Hat is just the thing for jungle adventure... or an afternoon's pottering in the garden. The wide brimmed style, based on traditional Australian ‘bush' hats, is made from 100% heavy washed cotton. It benefits from a maximum UPF rating of 50+ and conforms to BS8466 (the British Standard for protection against solar UV radiation). The hat is finished with mesh eyelets, press stud side turn-ups, and elasticated cord size adjuster with toggle. It comes in Pebble or Olive Green.
The final new addition to Beechfield's 2009 collection is the innovative B900 Morf Original. This multi-purpose item can be worn on the head, round the neck, on the wrist: as a ‘hat', headband, scarf, wristband, bandana... in fact, its uses are limited only by your imagination. Offering excellent opportunities for branding, the Morf Original is made from breathable, fast wicking, stretchy 95% micro-fibre polyester/5% elastane fabric. This makes it ideal for extreme sports use as well as more everyday leisure activities.
