Doro Tape claims to have come up with a solution to the problem of sublimation inks migrating when printing logos onto dark coloured polyester garments.
The company is offering the new Printa-flex Pro Subli-Stop for use with all digital printers using solvent/eco-solvent inks.
"Applying digitally printed graphics and logos to dark coloured polyester garments can be a problem, due to the migration of the sublimation inks ‘dirtying' the applied image. This is especially the case with light coloured prints on top of dark coloured garments - the darker the garment, the darker the print can become," said the company.
The Printa-flex Pro Subli-Stop has a special characteristic that will prevent the migration of sublimation dyes from going through to the surface of the applied print.
Developed especially for use with dark coloured Polyester garments, the material is ideal for football and rugby shirts, said Doro Tape.
For dark coloured cotton or poly-cotton garments, Doro Tape also offers the standard Printa-flex Pro, or for special effects the Printa-Flex Metallic with its pearlescent sheen. All these films produce a photo-realistic image quality in a glossy or matt finish (just re-press covered with a standard sheet of office paper for the matt effect).
