Blue Max Stag has appointed Ian Ryden as Chief Operating Officer to help the company develop a scalable five-year business model and continue its growth.
Ryden brings to the group several years of business experience in a variety of sectors. Trained as an accountant, Ryden has held senior positions in the retail, Internet and manufacturing environments, both for private companies, venture capital backed business and PLCs.
"Blue Max Stag is a clearly a very successful business, founded on strong ethical values, quality merchandise and a genuine commitment to customer service," he said. "Over the past 10 years the company has grown beyond recognition, and will now benefit from an infrastructure that will enable it to continue to grow and flourish into the future."
Ryden's key objective will be to provide an enhanced customer service experience. "To achieve this we must ensure we operate best practice procedures across all areas of the business including real time stock tracking and bar code usage," he added.
David and Mary Fawcus, founders of Blue Max Stag, said: "Despite having been with us only a few weeks, Ian has already made a considerable input into the business. He brings with him exciting ideas, sound business knowledge and a commitment to customer service that matches our own. We look forward to an exciting 2009 with Ian in the driving seat."
Blue Max Stag is also set to unveil its 2009 brochure, which once again combines the extensive schoolwear, sportswear and leisurewear offerings, but this year with an even wider choice of sizes and colours.
The 40-page brochure has a fresh design, with lively photography. Product descriptions are succinct and sizes and colours available for each item are clearly shown, said Blue Max Stag.
Having added another 1M cubic feet earlier this year, Blue Max Stag doubled its storage space to 2M cubic feet and now has the capacity to store over 5M garments.
