Industrialised workwear is a specialist clothing area and often requires a specialist brand that really understands the needs of the user. Davern Workwear and Harbour Lights say they are just such brands, and with an expanding range for 2009, there is sure to be something for everyone.
Workwear Trousers
The Workwear trouser sector has remained steady of the last few years but changing fashions and workers getting a choice of what they can wear means that a larger variety of options has had to be introduced.
However one area that has stuck with traditional styles (eg: TR10/L/U) is the haulage sector, says Davern. "Because their drivers are the only face-to-face contact they have with their customers they like them to look smart and in-line with their corporate identity at all times. Using heavyweight fabric with sewn-in seams guarantees that they will continue to look well dressed however many times they get in and out of their cabins," it says.
Hi-Visibility
The increased costs in raw materials and labour from China has forced many products prices to increase. But Harbour Lights says it has continued to offer value for money to its distributors. Due to an increase in Health and Safety laws stating that these garments need to be worn in more environments than ever before, the trend of increased demand for these products is certainly going to continue for the foreseeable future, it predicts.
The Harbour Lights Hi-Vis range can be found in all sectors including airports and seaports, as well all aspects of the construction industry.
Cargo Trousers
Cargo trousers (TR381/L) have become increasingly popular over the last few years across all industrial sectors, says Davern.
One area in particular is within warehouse environments, where workers welcome the lightweight, flexible fabric and the practicality of the numerous pockets.
"The cargo trouser range is one that has diversified a lot with a large variety of styles, colours, fabrics and functionality making sure that there is the perfect product for any environmen," it says.
"Cargo trousers are now accepted as a reasonable/smart alternative to the standard workwear trouser when businesses are re-issuing their company apparel."
Davern will be appearing at the forthcoming UKL Tradeshow from the 14th to the 16th of January, where you will be able to see all of these products and much more. See http://www.uklonline.co.uk/ for details
