"We have our own factory in China making all our school bags, amongst which are many special designs," he says. "We realised that with this unique facility we could approach the teamwear market with a fully bespoked bag in the club's own colours and logo, and most importantly on a minimum quantity of only 25 pieces and with regular fortnightly containers lead times are only 6/8 weeks. It used to be the preserve of only the largest football and rugby clubs who could order their own specially styled bags with everyone else having to take what plain coloured styles was available off the shelves. Now even the smallest clubs can take advantage of our range."

It's not only bags that Turners supply. Their main core product is ties, as Smith explains: "We are the largest manufacturers of club, corporate and school ties in the UK with our two factories in the north of England producing over 30,000 ties a week. Again we supply some of the largest premiership football and rugby clubs in the country as well as many small clubs and associations. Minimums for fully bespoked polyester ties start at only 50, or 100 for silk. All are competitively priced and both the tie and bag range are supported with free artwork.
