After ten years of success in selling and distributing promotional merchandise to blue-chip companies and organisations, Reflex Marketing & Promotions Ltd is undergoing expansion by developing their external sales.
From its beginnings in 1996, Reflex has a turnover of £4 million primarily by internal sales teams only, with external sales covered by the directors at key account level.
Marketing Director Steve Massingham said, 'Our growth has been a process of planned expansion with two Head Office moves to accommodate our larger internal teams and to take in our own warehouse to store and distribute promotional stock schemes for many of our large accounts.
'Our next stage is to develop external sales to work more closely with our major accounts and to develop new ones. To achieve this we are creating new companies within the Reflex Group for sales people who currently deal with the marketing or purchasing departments of larger companies and who are considering working for themselves.
'What holds people back, of course, is lack of finance and lack of back-up support to make the move - and these are what we will provide for them. They may come from various backgrounds including promotional merchandise but may be selling print, clothing, point-of-sale, or exhibitions.
'The financial rewards for the right people are huge, and they can build up a large equity stake in their own company.'
To complement this, Reflex is also increasing its well-known quarterly 'Special Offers' mailers from a 100,000 16 page issue to a 150,000 24 page issue in the Autumn to generate further, new business and clients.
