Schoolwear has always been a highly competitive sector for our industry, says Ralawise, and quality, durability and style are important aspects to help keep kids feeling comfortable every day. Ralawise offers schoolwear from a range of brands that use technologies to ensure uniforms will maintain their smart look throughout the year.
Coloursure by Maddins ensures consistent colour ranges. The fabric technology, made from acrylic, cotton and polyester, creates a formula that maintains colour continuity after washing, so parents can be sure their child's clothes will look fresh wash after wash. Coloursure is present in a range of Maddins garments, including the MD01B raglan sweatshirt, which comes in an extensive 12 colour variations, offering a fantastic range for print and embroidery options to match any school identity.
The MD01B, along with MD04B cardigan and MD02B V-neck sweatshirt from Maddins are also available in larger sizes at Ralawise, fitting chests from 24" up to 60", meaning children will never grow out of the range, right through to adulthood.
Ralawise also provides ethical choices for consumers. All Fruit of the Loom products comply with Oeko-Tex 100 standards, meaning no harmful substances are present in the textiles used in the garments. The SS417 65/35 pique polo is a great example of this, as a practical, smart looking polo, available in 12 colours from Ralawise, which is also available in adult sizes to keep up with that inevitable growth spurt.
Another brand looking to provide an ethical choice is Result. With a host of garments containing over 25% recycled material, Result offers an option for environmentally conscious consumers who look for garments they can trust to use sound practices. One product that features over 25% recycled material is the R160J Junior reversible stormproof jacket. The strong PVC coated polyester outer is complemented by a non-pilling fleece inner, and with fully taped seams, storm cuffs and adjustable hood, it is 100% waterproof. There's even access through a concealed snap closing lower hem for decorators to embroider or print school crests to strengthen school identity.
"The schoolwear market has grown further than the traditional polo and sweatshirt in recent years," adds Ralawise. "We are seeing an increasing demand for accessories such as hats, coats and bags for schools who want to provide the complete uniform for their pupils."
The QD051 Junior book bag from Quadra offers such a choice, with internal zipped pockets and a reflective safety triangle for protection, it's ideal for carrying books and stationery on the way to school. Available in seven colours, the nylon fabric is also perfect for embroidery or printing, meaning schools can promote their identity outside the school gates with a smart and practical solution, says Ralawise.
PE is an important source of exercise for kids, and Ralawise has a host of lines available for the more modern sports day. Brands such as Kustom Kit Gamegear, Finden and Hales and Tombo provide a range of solutions that are hard wearing, with quality to last the whole year round.
Ralawise stocks a whole host of schoolwear styles from some of the biggest brands; Jerzees Schoolgear, Fruit of the Loom, Result and Maddins.
It also offers additional brands to offer the complete solution in Bagbase, Quadra and Beechfield. Decorators can rest assured that the products will be available all year round in a host of sizes, styles and colours, perfect for any school uniform, it adds.
